Kyleigh McArthur from Sitka, Alaska, signed a National Letter of Intent. She will swim for the University of Alaska Fairbanks starting this fall. Becca Weiland, who is an associate head swimming coach, said that with the newest addition to their roster for the 2019/2020 season, McArthur would be the incredibly advantageous in-state pick — hoping that their latest addition will be a game changer.
Kyleigh swam for Sitka High School and already won three ASAA swimming and diving championships. Thanks to McArthur, Sitka Wolves Girls’ Team managed to score the second place in the overall team standings.
During high school, McArthur participated in 13 state championships scoring top ten in eight of them. Besides, winning the gold medal in the medley relay, she won state titles in both 2016 and 2017.
Whitney McArthur, who is Kyleigh’s older sister is currently a rising sophomore for the Nanooks’ swimming team.
